Windows 11 24H2 issues
March 30, 2025
Important update Regarding Windows 11 24H2 Audio Issues
We have confirmed that the latest Windows 11 update (24H2, released in
March 2025) introduces issues that affect certain core audio
functionalities. These issues include, but may not be limited to, sound
playback and Bluetooth audio. This affects not only us but other
companies and individuals.
Unfortunately, these problems originate within the Windows operating
system itself. We are unable to resolve them through modifications to
our software. A complete rewrite of the affected applications to
circumvent these Microsoft-introduced issues would be a significant and
time-consuming undertaking. And we do not plan to do this.
As previously communicated, we have submitted a support ticket to
Microsoft detailing the reported problems. At this time, we have not
received a response. We will continue to provide updates on this
webpage as new information becomes available.
Recommended Actions:
If you are currently using Windows 11 23H2: We recommend that you
defer upgrading to version 24H2 until Microsoft releases a fix.
Instructions on how to delay Windows updates can be found through
online search engines.
If you have already updated to Windows 11 24H2: The current
workaround is to revert to a previous, unaffected version of Windows 11
(e.g., 23H2).
We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your
patience

Since the latest update to Windows 11 24H2, many users have reported audio
issues with their applications. This includes some of our applications here at
eXtremeSenses.com. We never seen this in 14 years. This is an extremly
frustrating situation for us and our customers. And we need to be transparent
about the situation.
To be clear, this is not a bug in our applications but a Microsoft bug/issue.
Other companies and users are also affected by this. We have already opened
a support ticket with Microsoft; however, we do not currently have a timeline
for when this will be resolved.
Unfortunately, this issue is not under our control.
Users with the following versions of Windows are NOT affected by this:
•
Windows 11 23H2, 22H2, 21H1
•
Windows 10 (any builds)
Only Windows 11 build 24H2 is affected by this bug.
We are working diligently to urge Microsoft to fix this bug. On our end, we are
also actively trying to find a workaround. So far, we have not been successful.
